Just a quick post to say thank you!
Campaign Trails is just a week old, but we’ve already passed 5,000 subscribers.
I’m enjoying the newsletter even more than I thought I would, and I hope that this is just the start of something that’ll keep growing. If you’ve enjoyed the threads I’ve done on Twitter the past few years, both dunks and otherwise, this is where I’ll be doing all those from now on.
But to do that, I’m going to need your help. As the Substack folks keep reminding us, Twitter is actively suppressing links and promotions to the site, which means that even my non-stop shilling on Twitter isn’t having much of an impact.
I need your help spreading the word! The posts are all free to share, and I’d appreciate it greatly if you did — by email, on Facebook and Instagram, via carrier pigeon, etc. Whatever you can do to encourage people to subscribe!
Remember, free subscriptions get posts sent to their inbox (waves arms around). If you’d like to offer added support with a paid subscription, you’ll get those plus the ability to comment and access to bonus features like Ask Me Anything chats and live discussion of major events like the debates and conventions. Founding Members get all that plus quarterly Zoom chats and my undying appreciation.
Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Very happy to see you here on Substack. Really looking forward to seeing your take on the upcoming election cycle. Here in severely gerrymandered Ohio, it will be interesting to see how the issue coming up in the August special election to change requirements for citizen-initiated Constitutional amendments will play out.
